David Manando

Completed his O levels in 1990 and went to college to study to become a diesel motor mechanic. Due to the unavailability of finances David was forced to abandon his studies. In 1994 David decided to immigrate to South Africa. David started experimenting with wire and realised that he had a talent in moulding wire into various shapes and started producing some products that he sold on the streets of Johannesburg and Pretoria.

He soon started wire workshops in Johannesburg and started teaching others his skill. In 2009 David was invited to create a chandelier for the Furn Court Ball using recycled materials. David has expanded his product range to include natural stone and today is seen at popular fleamarkets in Cape Town, creating innovative products with wire and natural stone. David supports a wife and 3 children and lives in Delft on the Cape Flats.

David's personal goal is to own a car some-day and to buy a house for his family.
